Vision Labyrinth
Walking the Vision Labyrinth at CSLGLV as a spiritual practice is a meditative and contemplative time for inner reflection, prayer, and personal transformation. Unlike a maze, which is designed to confuse, a labyrinth has a single, winding path leading to the center and back out, symbolizing a journey toward deeper self-awareness, enlightenment, or connection with the Divine.
We offer guided group labyrinth walks as a shared meditative experience. Participants walk a labyrinth together under the facilitation of a guide or leader. This practice fosters mindfulness, spiritual reflection, and a sense of community, allowing individuals to journey inward while being supported by the collective energy of the group. Guided labyrinth walks provide a structured yet deeply personal way to engage in spiritual practice, offering a space for introspection, healing, and communal connection.
Some Ways Labyrinths Are Used in Spiritual Practice:
-
Walking Meditation – Moving slowly along the labyrinth’s path encourages mindfulness, relaxation, and a focus on the present moment.
-
Prayer & Devotion – Some use labyrinths as a sacred space for prayer, either seeking guidance, offering gratitude, or processing emotions.
-
Symbolic Journey – The labyrinth walk can represent a spiritual pilgrimage, a transition in life, or a personal quest for meaning.
-
Healing & Release – Many find the act of walking a labyrinth helps them process grief, release burdens, or gain clarity on difficult issues.
-
Sacred Rituals & Ceremonies – Some traditions incorporate labyrinths into ceremonies for renewal, blessings, or rites of passage.
-
Connecting with the Divine – The journey inward can be seen as a metaphor for drawing closer to God, spirit, or one's higher self.
